USE IT FOR
THE ACTUAL THING.
Technical information is handled to deliver and secure the site. A compliance email is used to read the request, verify what is needed, reply, protect the site or people, and meet a legal obligation where one applies. We do not turn a policy email into a marketing list.
Where the GDPR applies, the site’s technical operation and security rely on legitimate interests; a compliance request is handled to respond to the request and meet applicable legal obligations. Where consent is needed, we ask for it clearly. We do not make automated decisions or profile visitors.

HOW LONG IT STAYS

Data should not hang around forever. The current site uses a simple rule that separates provider-controlled technical logs from an email we can actually answer.

PROVIDER SETTINGS
Hosting and security providers set their own technical-log retention for delivery and security. TaterTube™ does not control their exact schedule, and does not keep a separate visitor-profile database.
B / COMPLIANCE EMAIL
UP TO 12 MONTHS
After a request is closed, the parent/guardian aims to delete the compliance message and related notes within 12 months, unless a longer period is needed for a legal obligation, security issue, or dispute.
C / ASK FOR REVIEW
NEED IT SOONER?
Once the mailbox is active, a person can ask for a message to be reviewed, corrected, or deleted. We may keep only what is necessary to confirm the request or meet a legal duty.

If you think TaterTube™ has personal information about you through an email inquiry, use the compliance contact. We will explain what we can do and ask only for enough information to confirm a request safely.
Canada & Québec
Ask about access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, or challenge a privacy practice. If a concern is not resolved, a person may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the relevant provincial privacy authority, including Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.
GDPR, where it applies
Depending on the situation, a person may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability, and may complain to a local data-protection authority. We aim to respond without undue delay and within the timing required by applicable law (normally one month for a GDPR request).
Kids’ information
We do not knowingly collect a child’s personal information through this site. If a parent/caregiver thinks a child’s information was sent to the compliance email, they can ask us to review or delete it. Kids should get a trusted grown-up’s help before emailing personal details.
